Three books
Two written by Igor Mironenko, one by Eugene Platon, all three in Russian. Igor's two are here in full, and each now has a complete English edition — translated by hand into Australian English and set as a book, with all 204 photographs under their own captions.
The English has not been read by its author yet. Every paragraph is translated and checked, but until he has been through it, it is a proof rather than a final text — which is on its title page as well as here. The Russian is the text of record; where the two differ, the Russian is right.

The Making of the Yacht Fazisi
The build. Nine months from a decision to a Whitbread maxi, in a boatyard in Poti on the Black Sea, by a crew who had never built anything like it — told by someone who was in the shed and then on the boat.
This is the volume that makes the case for the whole archive: it is a primary account of an event that has almost no first-hand English-language record, and it contains 74 photographs that exist nowhere else.

The longer story, and the earlier one: building a yacht and every fitting on her at a Kiev yacht club between 1978 and 1981, then sailing her far enough to lose a mast off Western Australia and to leave a plaque on Direction Island. 130 photographs.

Platon's account of the Fazisi campaign. It is his work and his copyright, and he has published it himself — so this archive links to his edition rather than reproducing it.
